      Interview

First there was hackerrank test. Then 2 rounds of interview. My first round went really well. Interviewer was also said it was a good discussion. I was able to answer 98% of the questions. 4 days after interview, Got feedback saying weak core Js knowledge. Not sure how they came to this conclusion when 98% of the questions were answered. Either they provided some random feedback just for the sake of providing or not sure. But very Poor experience. These kind of experience makes you start self doubting

      Front End Developer Interview

      6 July 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Vancouver, BC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Fortinet (Vancouver, BC) in June 2022

      Interview

Interview was with the whole team. Before the interview started the first thing the manager yelled was why isn’t your camera on. It was on but they were using Microsoft teams which lags sometimes. Did not even greet me before he rudely yelled turn on your camera. During the interview they would ask me questions some theory some coding questions. They wrote code in and sent it to me in the teams chat and made me do the same making it hard to even read the code properly. Also during the interview the manager was on his phone and left in the middle of the interview. He left his camera on the whole time so I can see him not paying attention and him leaving. It was super unprofessional and made me feel like he didn’t even care about doing the interview. Even if I received an offer I would never work with a manager that acted the way he did.
