I interviewed at Fortress Solutions (Leesburg, FL)
Interview
Average interview process until formal offer is a lot lower than my initial asking and market rate. They do not look for the top candidate but the ones agree to their lowball offer.
Online application followed by phone screening by the engineering director and manager. Followed by on-site interview and tour. Very professional of the engineering department. Questions are typical: Related experience and past projects. A bit behavior just to know your personality better.
The gem is where the HR comes with the formal offer and salary negotiation. The initial job posting ask for 5+ years experience which is Test Engineer 3. The official title offered to me is a Test Development Engineer 1. It's hilarious because I already worked as a level 2 engineer for the past two years.

Question 1
We can only afford this amount of base salary which is a lot lower than market rate and the value you presented. Would you mind to take it anyways since you desperately need employment?
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback and sharing your positive experience regarding the professionalism of our recruiting and interviewing process. Sorry to hear the salary we offered was below your expectations. Our job posting did have that we preferred candidates with at least 5 years’ experience for the position. The candidate we made the offer to had two years’ experience as an Engineer and the job title and salary offered took that level of experience into consideration. We strive to offer our employees a generous total compensation package and in addition to a competitive base salary, we also provide Paid Time Off, various benefit plans at a low cost to our employees as well as a 401k plan with a company match.
