      I interviewed at Forward

      Interview

I had an initial call with a recruiter which was to talk about the company in a broad sense and get an idea into my background. From there I had 4 one on one video interviews with various members of the operations team. All were very friendly and had given me a good insight into the pace of the company and their backgrounds. I was not able to get a solid answer on what the role I would be completing would actually do, I was told that the position I would truly be assigned to would be figured out later in the process. I then came in for an in-person interview and I was given a prompt to answer for this. The prompt was very vague and left little instruction which was very clearly the point. I went through 3 in person one on one interviews and all were again very insightful into the company culture of hard work. In my interviews I was still unclear of the exact job within operations I would complete and be being asked questions about my interest in various sectors within operations. I then had my presentation which focused on hypothetical scenarios, and each time I gave an answer another hypothetical "curveball" was thrown in to possibly change my response. I was called in for a one on one interview with a C-Suite Executive, which I was warned would be a stress test. This proved to be unlike any interview I have ever had, every answer I gave to relatively opinionated questions was met with "you're wrong" and a rebuttal that seemed to contain arrogance and judgment. The executive made every effort to emphasize that Forward is focused on innovating the healthcare field with a focus on the products and technology rather than the health service and medical care that is being offered. With each response, I felt the invalidation of my undergraduate education (from a top tier school) grow stronger. Following the interview, there was no debrief and I received a call the next day letting me know they were not moving on with my application.

      Interview

This company and especially its leadership have a very scammy-feel to them despite their funding so far. From my interviews, I've gathered that the perfect candidate to them would basically be someone who drinks the Kool-Aid of wanting to replace actual real-world doctors with AI and "engineers". This is what one of their employees told me point-blank in an interview. The founder who came up with the original idea actually has a personal vendetta against physicians that the marketing team tries to spin as a sob story. And in addition to all these other reviews here on Glassdoor suggesting that they're only conducting interviews right now as a marketing scheme -- not actually looking to hire, I HIGHLY recommend anyone who does receive an offer from them to read up reviews of Forward from the public/customers that can be found on Reddit and other forums. There are overwhelmingly negative reviews from people feeling scammed and not receiving the services they've paid for. Highly do not recommend joining this company even if you do somehow get an offer. All my interviewers sounded like they were in a cult and could not think critically for themselves. Like replacing doctors with AI -- seriously? You have to be delusional or just plain dumb to actually believe in that pathetic excuse of a mission. I'm looking forward to the Netflix documentary on this scandal-magnet of a company coming out in the next 5-10 years. Godspeed.

      Question 1

Where else are you applying? Why Forward? One interviewer also spent the majority of the time on a soapbox, going on a 20-minute (I kid you not) monologue of the company mission.

      Interview

I was scheduled for a screening call followed by a case study/culture fit interview back-to-back. The case study portion asked me to describe a company dashboard for the CEO and the culture fit portion was very focused on why I want to work at Forward specifically. The hardest thing was figuring out how to answer when I wasn't applying for any job in particular.
