Culture fit interview with some technical questions, followed by a take-home assignment. The take-home assignment was uncharacteristically hard in relation to the job description and experience required (as compared to the tasks listed + other tasks I had to do for comparable jobs). I managed to complete it, but it took me more time than it should have.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions about CSS (different ways to center an item, queries, etc), questions about React (hooks, when to use useMemo), take-home task with a transpiler tree traversal problem
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Frameplay (Melbourne) in July 2024
Interview
Received a coding assignment a week after the job application. The assignment was poorly defined without clear guidance and objectives on the criteria. Spent a lot of time finally figuring out a solution and writing documentation just to get a rejection. Worse assessment I have ever got so far.

Question 1
The assignment had two parts. One using TypeScript compiler api, while the other one was to handle an api of your choice.
No one spoke with me about my qualifications not even a phone call. They just e-mailed me an assignment. I completed it within a day. No comment at all on it. I'm skeptical they even looked at it. It might have been a ghost job.
