I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Freckle Education (Boston, MA) in May 2022
Interview
This was a long process with very little feedback along the way. The first step was to comment on an already made ELA reading by a given due date. From there, a timed assignment (with start and end time) was given, asking to develop curriculum for specific standards independently. The next step would have been to have a live call, again developing curriculum and discussing with the people on call what you were doing and why. When I asked for any feedback or suggestions on what I could have done better, I was sent was looked like a form email with the same phrasing of the expectations that I was given to take on the task. There was no mention of anything I had done and how it did or did not meet the expectations.

Question 1
I was given two tasks, but did not get to a portion of the interview where any questions were asked.

Interview
I participated in two rounds of an "interview" process, although I never actually spoke with anyone at the company. All communication was via email that was written to a group of applicants. For the first round, I was asked to read a leveled Social Studies passage and offer written feedback about that passage for a certain grade level (strengths, areas of improvement, suggestions). For the second round, I was given 90 minutes to complete a revision of a text that was appropriate for a particular grade level/reading level, write comprehension questions that are aligned to curriculum and Common Core standards, and write a series of Math questions that were based on "Depth of Knowledge" and increased in difficulty. It was challenging for me to complete this within 90 minutes, as I wanted to submit quality work that was pedagogically sound. I was not asked to continue to the next phase of the interview (which was a panel, or "team", interview).

Question 1
I was not asked interview questions; instead, I had to submit work samples.

Interview
I interviewed for this position last spring, and again this spring. From start to finish, the process was absolutely terrible both times. There is no phone call or video interview. Instead you're made to complete performance tasks that have gotten even lengthier since I last interviewed, despite being very similar. In the first round, I had to read a student article and critique it. Freckle got back to me and told me I'd be moving onto the next round, a timed 90 minute performance task. I had to write an additional grade level paragraph to tack onto the article from the first assessment. Then, I had to write follow up questions, as well as two Math DOK questions. This work was grueling, and to make matters worse I got a nasty rejection, "We were looking for _________, and we didn't see that in your responses. We wanted you to be ________ in your answers and you weren't." Never again! Don't waste your time.

Question 1
They didn't ask me anything. There was no phone screen or video interview. Instead, I had to complete two performance tasks...reviewing an article, adding a section to the article, writing standards aligned questions, and writing depth of knowledge Math questions.
