I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Freedom Credit Union (Philadelphia, PA) in June 2013
Interview
I got a phone interview and passed it so I got to schedule an interview but not at the branch I applied for. After the interview with two people and a ton of annoying questions I was told nothing and went home. Later that day I was called for another interview for the actual branch I was to be working at. After that interview I was told nothing for two weeks and all my e-mails and phone calls were ignored. I finally got a call for a 4th interview with the person I interviewed with last time and again told nothing. I then 2 days later got an e-mail saying I didn't get the job. Overall a long drawn out process that ended up being for nothing. Shows the way they do business.

Question 1
I was told that as a part-time teller I would have to get at least 10 members to sign up for additional services and that it was mandatory. They asked the same questions over and over in the same interview.

Interview
I received a call the same day I applied online through Career Builder. Spoke to a woman who was very nice. She basically asked me some questions over the phone. Things like tell me about yourself, whats your definition of customer service and how would you handle an irate customer. She was very detailed about what the company offers as far as benefits goes (your bday is considered a holiday!) I then received a call the following day from HR lady she was super nice as well. The day of the interview I met with the Call Center supervisor as well as the HR lady. They spoke mostly about what the job is all about. They did ask me to go through all my jobs and what I did there. Last question was how I would handle an irate customer. They then asked if I had a minute to meet with the Manager which I did. When he came in he was very nice but more serious. He asked why I moved from out of state (I am guessing he was trying to gauge if I would be here for good) All in all the interview went really well and the manager told me that the other ladies told him I interviewed really well. So all in all no hard questions, they didn't have a list of questions in front of them either so it was easy...I am glad I had 4 questions to ask which made the interview a little longer because at one point it looked like it would of been a 15 minute interview and I just had to make sure they remembered me! LOL Oh and they gave me a bottle of water which was a nice touch.

Question 1
I would have to say that it was actually during the over the phone screening, which was "What is your definition of customer service" I should of known better but I have never been asked this before and it took me a bit off guard but I easily answered...so no really hard questions...just the one that took me off guard.
