I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Freenome (South San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Very structured zoom meetings.
Each interviewer was clear about their role and what they needed from someone in the position to which I was applying.
Each interviewer was clear and direct with their questions. I could see that they planned ahead intelligently.
People were also friendly, confident, humble, and recruiting because they need to hire help. I liked them immediately. Morale looked good.
Recruiter told me ahead of time about the cultural questions. This was important because it allowed me time to prepare some answers for things I had never even thought of being asked, especially in an interview.
The culture questions do impart a very strange feeling to the company. Though well meant, they are a bit intrusive and I would not blame anyone who was turned off by them.
