The interview process was very well-structured and transparent. It started with an initial recruiter call, followed by a technical deep dive with an engineering lead, a coding interview, a system design interview, and concluded with a behavioral round with the CTO/CEO. Overall, the experience was highly positive. The team demonstrated both technical excellence and a thoughtful approach to evaluating candidates. I could tell I was speaking with truly brilliant and capable people, and I really enjoyed each conversation. Beyond technical depth, the team was also approachable, considerate, and respectful throughout, which made the process feel both rigorous and supportive.

I had the initial call with a rep from HR. I described my background and why I wanted to apply. All seemed well. The rep at the end said I would be put forward to the next interview stage. Got an email an hour later to book the next interview slot (no slots were free). Emailed the HR interview system (no email was given for the hiring manager or anyone else). Heard no reply. Then 2 weeks later, I got an email saying FreeTrade was no longer moving forward with my application. Bug in their system or is there truth to the reviews from past engineers?
