I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Frogslayer (College Station, TX) in June 2019
Interview
The hiring manager was very transparent from the beginning and outlined a schedule that they followed accordingly:
Phone Behavioral Screening (personality questions), Phone Technical Screening (involved some live screen share coding) , At-home Project (very difficult), In-person interview (very straightforward and predictable: what's wrong with this code/solve this problem)
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Frogslayer (College Station, TX) in May 2019
Interview
5 Step Process, consisting of a resume review, code sample, culture fit phone interview, technical phone interview, and an in-person interview. (That was the order I had, but they switch around the order depending on the applicant).
Turn-around time was pretty short (2-3 business days) between each step, except for the coding sample because it had to be graded by a member of the development team.
Technical phone interview was done by a member of the development team, coding in a google doc. The grader isn't too worried about language syntax - they care more to know your thought process as you work through a problem.
The in-person interview is very thorough. Consisted of more culture questions, and a whiteboard-style coding interview.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
A variety of coding questions, but nothing outside of the realm of what you would typically be taught in a Data Structures and Algorithms course. More senior level applicants will be asked about system level design.
