      Flight Attendant Interview

      19 Feb 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Denver, CO
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Frontier Airlines (Denver, CO) in Feb 2017

      Interview

Frontier has a smooth interview process for the role of Flight Attendant. They keep you informed each step of the way. After applying online, you'll be asked to complete an assessment (I'd assume everyone who meets the minimum qualifications is asked to do the assessment). It's a combination of a personality test and a critical thinking test. Be honest and don't dwell on each question. Read the instructions carefully! Over the years, the airlines have determined the personality traits that lead to success in this role. It's important to be honest and consistent in your answers. Once you have passed this step, you will receive an email a few days later asking you to schedule a phone interview. The recruiter is very nice and makes you feel at ease. Be sure you are in a quiet location and smile as you talk. Have your passport available to provide the expiration date and listen carefully to all of the questions asked. They will review basic requirements and confirmations first. Sound enthusiastic, yet professional! Next, they ask a few customer-service related questions. Have a notepad handy and write out some examples in advance (when you've provided great service, when you've resolved a difficult situation, etc.). Read up on the STAR method of interviewing - What was the situation? What action did you take? What was the result? Always have a specific example; do not answer in a general sense. Think up a couple of questions in advance to ask the recruiter. This shows you have researched and take the position seriously. Do not say you love to travel or ask about flight benefits/commuting. Be sure to read up on Frontier Airlines and understand their business model. At the end of the phone interview, you may be invited to a Face-2-Face interview in Denver. That is as far as I've gotten in the process (F2F interview is next month). This is my plan: dress professionally, hair and nails well-groomed, natural makeup. Wearing a dark suit, simple jewelry, plain closed-toe heels, and nylons. Arrive early, bring passport, ID, resume, notepad portfolio, and pen. Leave phone stashed away. Be personable and sociable without trying too hard. Have examples ready for different scenarios. Most of all, just be natural and be myself! I know I would make a great F/A for Frontier and I am an extremely hard worker, so I'm trying to remind myself of those things! If you aren't asked to the F2F, don't get discouraged. I would bet almost every Flight Attendant out there has been rejected at least once. I know I have! Keep trying - use your resources to learn more about Flight Attendant hiring. There are so many factors that go into it (timing, the right fit, etc.). Do not give up! If you give up, you won't get it for sure. If you keep trying, your chances are great at getting hired as a F/A. Have patience and tenacity. I heard someone say once, "There is an airline for everyone." This is so true! I hope this interview review has been helpful. Good luck!
