The interview process was lackluster, slightly a waste of time. Typical start - recruiter reached out on LinkedIn, set up initial bit to discuss what the role was and my qualifications. Initially, the recruiter tried to talk me into a lesser role because the role I applied for was 5+ years and I had 4.5......but I was not applying for another entry level role.
Getting to the actual interview- I am not even sure the manager wanted to hire for the role? The interview was basic discussion of my background (mine is arguably pretty extensive for the amount of time I have had in the industry). The interviewer was either looking at another screen or doing work on the site, but brought no energy in the interview, barely engaged and over 75% of a 20 min interview was me asking her questions about the role and then having to share my relevant experience. I did not feel great leaving the interview so I almost immediately blocked it from my memory only to get the reject email 9 MONTHS LATER lol.
For such a large company I would have at least assumed it would have a standard interview structure required as part of recruiting and a little more engagement considering they are trying to hire for a new site and the role (assuming multiple are open for lower level positions) is still posted. However, still excited to see what FDB brings RTP area
