Zoom panel with a few engineers. Problem solving exercises and 45 minutes to complete. Could Google and use reference materials. They wanted to understand how the interviewee approached the issue
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Normal issues that may come up in an MSP Engineers day.. AD, DNS, PKI
The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Fulcrum IT (Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul)
Interview
Approached in LinkedIn, wanted a call to tell more about the role and “didn’t have a pay range for the role yet”. I’ve accepted the interview anyway, in MS Teams. Interviewer was 4 minutes late, started asking questions about how many years of experience, and other that I’ve just responded: “that is in my LinkedIn profile”. Clearly just wanted to interview a lot of candidate to know how much each one earned. When asked about the pay range, only disclosed how much the other candidates were asking for. Asked for twice the price to make sure this company wouldn’t reach me again.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Fulcrum IT (Arlington, VA) in Feb 2019
Interview
Recruiter phone screen, 3 weeks later call with hiring manager, 2 days later offer letter. The HR team moved very quickly but no one had clue on the contract. Start date was supposed be in week and even the lead had no answer from customer. The lack of communication and empathy really needs be improved. After reaching out to lead he basically said I have no clue I would look other places and helped which was nice.
I was even told if your looking for job growth this isn't the place, basically dead end job.
