Fulgent Fullstack Developer interview questions

Very unprofessional and unwelcoming. Before the interview, the recruiter told me the interview would be an introductory discussion of my projects. During the interview, there were five engineers in the online room, and none of them turned their cameras on. After a brief discussion of my resume, they asked me a coding question. This question was very solvable. After initially being surprised by the technical portion of the interview that I was not informed about, I accurately solved the problem and further optimized my solution with the correct outputs that matched the given test cases. After reaching my final answer, the interviewers made the process exponentially more difficult and discouraging. Although I reached a solution including optimal time and space complexity, one of the interviewers continuously told me that my code was "nonsense" after I made a syntactical mistake and refused to offer me hints. In addition, I asked the interviewers if I was allowed to make certain assumptions about the parameters, and they agreed. Later in the interview, the same person told me that I could not make those same assumptions about the parameters. On my part, I believe I could have prepared much better for this interview. However, after my analyzing my performance and experiencing this interview setting, I had no interest in working for Fulgent Genetics. I believe this company should improve their process and personnel for interviewing future applicants.
