**SCAM ALERT**
Fusion Market is a legit company. However, someone is using their company in an attempt to scam ppl in search of a job. I never applied to this job but was contacted via email. They also sent some seemingly legit documents via email as well. I was asked to download an app called lark for an interview. The interview lasted about an hour it was all done through text essentially. There were things that seemed off to me. There were many grammar issues among other things. They wanted me to purchase multiple devices including a Samsung Galaxy and an iPad, that they claimed I needed for the position. Their goal was for me to mail these devices to them after purchase, so that they could download the needed software for the position. In turn I’d be reimbursed for the money I spent. They pretty much “hired” me on the spot after the “text” interview on Lark. This is obviously a major red flag when it comes to UX positions. I did get a chance to speak to someone on the phone who had a very obvious and strong (non-American) accent. I asked his name and he lied and used the name of an actual Fusion Marketing employee. I did a lot of research and even got in contact with the real fusion marketing. They told me they have no record of an interview with me or anything. They also confirmed that they were aware of this same scam happening before with their company name. Thankfully I didn’t purchase the devices or provide them with any personal info.
Better luck next time SCAMMERS!
Please be careful guys!
