I applied online. I interviewed at Futrend Technology (Vienna, VA)
Interview
2 Phone interviews, Interviewed onsite by three people. I met with the CEO, VP a Sales person and a manager. The location was easy to get to from the airport. The staff was accommodating for travel and upon arrival.
Thank you very much for your feedback. We appreciate your flexibility to meet at a location that is convenient for you. We are very thrilled to have you joining us. Look forward to having a great run together. Please contact me and/or your manager if you have any concerns or need any help you feel you are not getting.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Futrend Technology (Washington, DC) in Aug 2017
Interview
Company was recommended to me by the client regarding a known, impending staffing gap. Connecting with a live body was a mission. Once I did, they were terribly rude, unethical, and disorganized.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
Would you agree to be paid via 1099 for a W-2 job?
Will you accept a 1099 at the prevailing wage of a W-2 worker? Forbes says there is only a 15% difference between employee versus independent contractor taxes.
I am sorry to hear that your interview didn't go well. While we are known to our customers that we hire great people and putting customers first, our recruiting and interviewing process does take longer than we like to see.
We have 4 steps interview process: 1, recruiter initial phone screen. 2. technical/competency interview. 3. management interview for team fit. 4. executive interview for company culture fit.
I am working with the Project Managers and recruiting team to find ways to shorten the timeline and expedite the process by putting interviewing as a higher priority.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Futrend Technology (Vienna, VA) in June 2016
Interview
Easy, no hard questions. On arriving for the interview, I told the interviewer that I was NOT an expert on SharePoint; I know how to train people in the basics and how to operate the application. That being said, the interviewer continued and we really seemed to click. I thought "This job is mine" until more than two weeks had passed. It turns out that this is another run-of-the-mill companies that bid on US Federal Government contracts without telling the interviewee that the job isn't theirs to offer. The whole episode turned out to be three hours of my life that I'll never get back. What a joke this company is. When I called the recruiter to ask where I stood as far as offering me the job, I was told that the company's owners (a husband and wife team from China) wouldn't be back from holiday until "X", more than three weeks after my interview. Why on earth should a manager of the company interview me and offer me the job, only to have to wait for "the couple" to have final say as to who gets hired and who doesn't?! Why do you have managers in the first place? I've since read here on Glassdoor that the CEO micromanages to the Nth degree, so maybe I dodged a bullet in not working for these morons.
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to see you are very angry and can understand you are being upset as you need a job to support your family.
Thank you for your flexibility to do the interviews at later time as I was traveling internationally with 12 hours time difference. I was one of the interviewers. Like you said, you have the great expertise. We were recruiting for a contingent hire for a potential contract opportunity that we were submitting the proposal for, which is very common for Government contractors.
We have 4 steps interview process: 1, recruiter initial phone screen. 2. technical/competency interview. 3. management interview for team fit. 4. executive interview for company culture fit.
We are in the process to shorten the interview process by articulating and training the managers to better understand the hiring criteria and what we mean by "a culture fit. "
We are known to our customers that we are hire great people. We have 8 employees hired by the Government in 2016 because our customers love the people we hired at FUTREND.
Good luck with you job search.
