Recruiter reached out to me and asked if we could have an intro call. After the intro call I had a virtual meeting with the hiring manager, and was then asked to interview on site. As we were trying to arrange this they came back to me and said they didn't have budget to fly me to NY for an interview (I'm in a different state, but not extremely far) and asked if I would cover the expense. I told them I would consider it and asked for a bit more context on the process and the role, to which the recruiter went completely dark and ghosted me. This was extremely unprofessional and I would be skeptical if this company reaches out to you.
