Interview
Horrible and a waste of time. I sent my resume to GAO Tek's email as directed on their website. I got emails from 3 separate people at GAO Tek telling me they want to interview me. None of them were aware the others have emailed me as well. I ended up setting 2 different interview dates and times because they were so unaware. The first person to interview had no idea what to ask, was confused, asked me the same questions twice. I could tell right then the type of company this would be.
Phone screening, and giving an offer letter immediately, asked about background and work experience, and any other previous internship experience in the field. Did not seem very interested in background information.
The process involved an online application, followed by a virtual interview focusing on communication skills, role clarity, and availability. It was simple and well-organized.The discussion focused on basic role understanding, communication skills, availability, and willingness to learn rather than technical depth. Overall, the process was straightforward and transparent.
