I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GR-NEAM (Farmington, CT)
Interview
I received notice of the position from a recruiter. I submitted my resume and was invited in for an interview. The interview was generally very congenial. I met first with the IT Director and he provided an overview of what their needs were. We then discussed my background and what my goals were. I then spoke with the lead developer for the hiring group. He asked general questions about my experience and provided a more detailed description of their requirements.
I applied through university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at GR-NEAM (Farmington, CT) in Dec 2011
Interview
Initially applied via campus recruiting listing. Received word of phone interview the next week, which was scheduled to be 30-minutes, and went over by another 20, and consisted of basic personality and fit questions (e.g. strengths and weaknesses, how others describe you, etc.). Was asked to rank my placement priorities, and to come in for a series of 1:1 interviews with members of each group. These interviews varied in their nature, from broader macro questions ("run me through the fiscal situation in Europe") to specific resume and experience questions. Their aim by-and-large seemed to be testing intelligence and capacity to think quickly, as well as in one case to dig into my specific product knowledge. Essentially it was a sniff test, to see that the interviewee was the same person on the resume. The people were all very friendly and engaging; I have stayed in touch with one, exchanging emails on a semi-regular basis.

Question 1
Why would you want to work at GR-NEAM over a higher-profile firm in an urban setting?
