You take a short written exam to test you on tenses, sentence structure and punctuation. Then you speak with one of the school managers and he/ she will ask you about your teaching experience. They will ask you about how you would conduct a lesson and may have you do a small role play where they will pretend to be a student who doesn't understand a concept and you have to teach them. Then you will take a test on tenses and you have to explain the differences between them and give examples. Then they will ask which school would be closest to your house and what hours or days you could work for them. They won't tell you about how most benefits are not included like, health insurance, pension and train fare. They will however, try to lure you in with the promise of a full schedule and the ability to choose the hours/ days you want to work. Getting lessons at the times you put in is not easy when you first start out. There will be long gaps of unpaid work....if your schedule isn't full of booked lessons then you get paid NOTHING!
