I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Gameloft (San Francisco, CA) in June 2013
Interview
First applied on the Gameloft website back in late Fall of 2012. Heard back in late March of 2013. Had 4 phone/Skype interviews over a period of 2 months. After the 4th and final Skype interview I was flown out to San Francisco and put up in a hotel for the night. The in person interview was about 2.5 hours long and consisted of talking to the same 4 people I spoke with previously and also meeting other key members of the North American team in SF. These conversations talked about the role in more depth, how I would handle a variety of situations and what I thought I'd bring to the Community Manager role that makes me the right fit. Overall it was a great experience, everyone was very friendly, open and honest about their experiences with Gameloft and what to expect.
If you are interviewed by Gameloft don't be overly worried if a phone call is very short. Two of my 4 phone calls/Skype calls were under 10 minutes, they are just very focused and get to the point! Answer to the best of your ability and you should be good!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions involving working with the development team in Europe and the complications that may or may not come along with that.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gameloft in Jan 2025
Interview
Apply with caution. Gameloft has many brilliant teams, but all are at the discretion of their global head office, who call the shots even when jobs are advertised and may be withdrawn after several rounds of interviews.
After three successful interviews and many wonderful conversations (both with the local team I had applied for and one of their managers in Paris), I was left stranded for several weeks with no reply. Managed to reach out to a hiring manager, who assured me that the next contact I would receive would be regarding the job offer, as the team were quite impressed with my skills.
After a month since the initial interview, I received an email notifying me that the global head office had chosen to withdraw the role entirely and it was no longer available. As you could imagine, this was incredibly frustrating, as I had dedicated a large amount of my own time, efforts, and mental capacity over a month to apply for this role. Sadly, this hiring experience was quite unprofessional and left me feeling as if I was treated as an expendable candidate rather than a human being.
This is no disrespect to the local Gameloft teams, as I greatly admire the studio I applied for. However, this is representative of the global management and how this might reflect poorly upon local studios.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What prior experience do you have that would make you suitable for this role?
My interview process consisted of three stages: a conversation with HR, completing a test task, and an interview with some team members whom I (as I understood) would be working with. The test task was quite extensive – they were definitely looking for someone with solid knowledge and considerable work experience. I went through all three stages, and they took a very long time to provide a final response – nearly two weeks of waiting. Unfortunately, I did not receive an offer.

Question 1
The questions were mainly about my previous experience.
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gameloft (Ho Chi Minh City) in July 2024
Interview
The interview process didn't take very long, but the interview itself lasted for around 1 hour, with also many technical questions. I had a first interview and a test to complete.
My test wasn't enough to get the position.
I didn't get a reason for it tho, and I would have liked to know why the test failed.
