Interview
The position was fully remote. The company does not have any presence in Greece so they were looking for a contractor. They wanted me to purchase a laptop and said they would redeem the cost in a period of 12 months. They would give me 25% of the total cost every 3 months. It was unclear to whom would the laptop belong if I left the company earlier than the 12 month period. Although the proposal was not very appealing mostly due to the high tax rates for contractors in Greece, I decided to take the interview. I was interviewed by a Senior Software engineer for about half an hour. The position was for a Junior Back-end position using Java Spring Boot so the questions were about Java, Spring, JPA and some basic SQL. After the interview they never contacted me again.
