The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GenScript
Interview
Terrible interviewing process. Group of women who interview are extremely rude and disrespectful (one lady was texting while I spoke). I knew from the first couple questions and how disrespectfully they worded them that I wouldn’t take any kind of offer, I was just trying to be polite and let them finish. Word to the wise, read the REAL reviews before you go and interview. There’s some accurate ones below. They ask you to present a presentation, which is fine although I never heard of that really for an ENTRY level position they advertise this as. Presentation was supposed to be about why I wanted the role, and what made me a good fit... that’s all the info they gave on it. In reality they wanted a research project on all the website info and what they deal with. Although they specifically stated there would be extensive training offered (which I doubt that now). Extremely specific questions and they just put you on the spot and like it says below they grill you nonstop until their time slot is up. Presentation is required to be 20 mins and no less than that- this was the first time I’ve ever cut an interview short to just get out of there. I tried kindly declining the offer to the “hiring manager” but she insisted on having my references, in which I had to state I would rather take another offer at a better company. Unprofessional staff. Office looks very empty also - should have been a sign. Hope this helped someone else, I wish I believed what I read on here before I went and I could’ve saved myself the trip.
It is unfortunate to see that you feel you had not so positive interview experience, while we do have most other candidates who feel they had a technical discussion session. Our business is growing so fast that even entry-level jobs can be demanding. We do expect candidates who hold a BS degree in Biology to be able to answer questions like the function of mRNA. those who cannot is surely not a good fit.
We definitely see some room for us to improve our interview process and we thank you for taking the time to interview with us as well as taking the time to let us know your concern. we are doing very well and growing fast. we hope you best luck with your other offer.
