I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Genstar Capital (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2021
Interview
Multiple meetings with most of the investment team, case study, super day. Case study/modeling test was straightforward, larger focus on cultural fit vs. technical capability. Also a large focus on deals you've worked on but not as granular on the numbers as other funds often are - focus was more on ensuring you understand how to evaluate an investment opportunity.

Question 1
Walk me through one of the deals you worked on in banking
I applied online. I interviewed at Genstar Capital in June 2018
Interview
I got stood up twice for phone interviews with the person I was to be directly supporting. There was no apology or response when I tried following up to reschedule. Not very considerate or professional. These are usually clearcut signs of a place you do not want to work.
