      Manager Interview

      16 Nov 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Georgia-Pacific

      Interview

After applying for a role, I reached out to an internal recruiter to connect. I was put in touch with the respective recruiter (this person's colleague), who requested times for a call - great. After providing availabilities, I didn't hear back. I followed up a few more times over the next week or so, but I was ignored. Show some common courtesy and at minimum provide a response, especially after reaching out to connect in the first place.

      Application

I interviewed at Georgia-Pacific (New York, NY)

      Interview

The hiring manager of the bat asked me do you have experience in mills. There's thousands of companies and industries out there, not just milling. The position i applied for deals with contracts which if your in contracts and construction, you know that its similar in nature what the organization needs and build it from there. He expects it to be a specialist on that field. He didn't even consider what my experience are and just didn't have interest at all. Over all if they need a specialist in their posting they need to come clean and be upfront. The job is in the middle of nowhere. About 30 min drive to the nearest town. With no major town around. Even if I got the job, I'll walk away if ill be working with him. Nuf said.
