I applied through university. I interviewed at Geotab (Vancouver, BC)
Interview
1 general recruiter session explaining the company and different teams. Then 1 round of interview, including both behavioural and technical questions, asking resume related questions with project deep dive, coding question can be answered in any language, overall not very hard
The process began with an HR screening call to discuss my background. I then had a formal interview with the hiring manager, covering technical challenges, systems architecture, and project alignment. Communication was professional, providing clear insights into team structure and design responsibilities. Overall, it was a well-organized evaluation of my technical expertise and role fit.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Geotab in May 2026
Interview
Four-stage process: recruiter screening, hiring manager interview, technical assessment (30 multiple choice questions + verbal Italian language test). Throughout the process I received consistently positive verbal feedback, including explicit indications that the team was preparing to send an offer. After the final assessment on June 2nd, three weeks passed with no proactive communication. I received a rejection email on a Monday evening with no explanation. The outcome was not the issue — the lack of honest and timely communication after repeatedly suggesting an offer was coming was deeply unprofessional.
