I was contacted through a recruiter from linkedIn. Initial phone screen via Skype and then a couple of hours one on one interviews. I liked the way the hiring manager clearly outlined how the interview process goes and what areas they will test you on. One on one interviewee's with the team was stated as a peer programming, understand my thought process, ask help if needed with not testing the skill of programming in a specific language. But it was the complete opposite once the interview started, an app requirement was provided, was asked to code on chrome console, but after a while they figured its better to RDP into some one's machine. Also whenever I would ask a question what method will do this obviously bcz I'm being nervous when 5 people are watching me code and a occasional sigh from one of the lead developers. As it wouldn't get worse the lead developer says he needs to go work and needs his machine 20 min before the end of interview. I understand I was a nervous reck doing programming in front of others when its judged but the hiring manager stated before these are the issues that he wants to avoid and hence the peer programming where we don't judge you on your language skills but I was clearly judged on my angular 5+ framework skills for a senior software engg. I like the way the hiring manger process and leadership but it clearly wasn't implemented by its lead developer. I have been a senior resource at jobs and helped out my peers and junior developers and I highly recommend folks not to join this team since its not a very encouraging environment.
