Interview
I went through 4 rounds of interviews and didn't hear back for a while. The interviews went well, but the slow responses are tricky when you're talking to other companies and want to respect their time. Overall, everyone on the team seemed passionate and very kind.

Question 1
What is one thing people wouldn't know about you at first?
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at GoFundMe (London, England) in June 2020
Interview
I received an interview invitation around three weeks after I applied for the job online. The job was based in London but it would seem that the recruiting process is outsourced to the US.
I had a great video interview with the recruiting agent who was based in California and she promptly sent me another invitation to interview with one of the comms team in the UK. Because all the correspondence was between myself and the recruiting agent, I had to wait until the evenings until hearing anything back as California is 8 hours behind. This wasn't an issue but I felt that it slowed things down a little. I had a great video interview with the UK Comms manager and was sent the next phase of the process the same day. The next phase was an assignment based on comms strategy and outreach. Unfortunately, despite putting in a lot of hard work and research, this was the stage that tripped me up and I didn't progress to the final interview.
Everyone was very friendly throughout the process and all in all it was positive. I reached out to the comms manager for feedback following the assignment and although they responded, the feedback was not constructive in any way and I was just told that I had 'done well.' I'm still grateful for any feedback however, as a lot of companies I have interviewed with have neglected to provide any at all.
Best of luck to anyone applying and be prepared for multiple rounds of interviews/tasks!

Question 1
How do your experiences make you a great fit for this role?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GoFundMe in Feb 2019
Interview
I interviewed first with the hiring manager, who was super upbeat. She then coordinated with a junior HR member to have me speak with several members of the communications team in person. I was told I'd hear back, and when I didn't, I followed up with the hiring manager, who ignored my email. I then emailed her associate, who said I'd hear back the following week. However, later that night, I received just an automated rejection email. I then followed up again, to confirm that I was, indeed, denied, and HR finally got back to me and confirmed I was. Had I never bothered to reach out, I would just have gotten a standard, automated rejection - despite interviewing with numerous folks at GoFundMe.
Very unprofessional and disappointed with the application process and lack of professionalism, and I would never apply to GoFundMe again. Given their amazing work and mission, I'm even more taken aback by how unprofessional the HR team was.
