I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Gong in May 2021
Interview
Screening call with recruiter. Very bland, reading down a list of questions and showed virtually no interest in my background or experience. The call would have been less than 10 minutes had I not prompted additional conversation and questions. There were several awkward moments of silence which as an interviewee made me 'feel' that her time was being wasted. The questions asked were general and specific to the role (attainment, not being able to work remote, etc) When asked about the culture, I was given a non answer. Bad experience.

Application
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gong (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2025
Interview
The job interviewer felt like they were just reading off a checklist and really didn't get me excited for the role when I was really excited to interview there. I hope they can try to be more personal on the first interview.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gong (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2025
Interview
I was approached by a recruiter and spoke with her for 30-minutes. After that I would meet with the team lead, VP with a mock call. It was a standard process overall.

Question 1
They asked the standard questions around my work experience, Hybrid work. What type of deals I have dealt with in the past, along with how I would transition into working with Gong software.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Gong (San Francisco, CA) in July 2024
Interview
The Interview processes was straight forward and smooth. The recruiter I worked with was professional, responsive, and on top of each step of the process so I knew exactly where I stood and what to expect next. The process went something like recruiter screen, interview with the hiring manager, mock call with director of sales and hiring manager, and the final interview was with VP of Sales. The interviews were a healthy mix of casual getting to know you questions and behavioral questions focused on your work experience. The behavioral type of questions were more natural and conversation-like than some of the scripted "tell me about a time" questions I heard from other companies in my job search.
