The process started with several questions on the online interview — typical get-to-know-you questions about experience, interests, etc.
Within a couple days of applying, Jon (co-founder and one-man HR department) emailed me to set up a 20-minute phone interview with him. We talked about the position, my career path and the company in general.
The next day, one of the strategists emailed me to set up a second phone interview with him a few days after the first phone call. We talked more specifically about the work involved and the clients. He asked me about how I handle conflict and some more technical-knowledge questions related to the position. He was my main point of contact throughout the rest of the process.
Next, they invited me in for an in-person interview with Jon and the three members of the strategy team. We covered a lot of the same questions about my background and experience, then talked about the company core values. We finished with plenty of time for me to ask questions.
This interview was followed by a test project.
After the test project, I was invited back for a final interview with both founders, the three strategists and a member of another team.
Overall, the process was a great. There are a lot of points of contact, especially for an entry-level position, but it moved quickly and efficiently. By the end of it, you have a great idea of who Gorilla is and how you’d fit in with the company.
