I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Grand Canyon University (Phoenix, AZ) in Nov 2021
Interview
After having an initial phone interview and passed, I entered the second phrase. The hired manager (Financial Aid Business Operations director) would email me my availability and schedule a 30 min job simulation evaluation in Zoom meeting in the same week. She spent 1 min introducing herself and went over ten fill-in-the-blank questions to answer. She turned off the video camera and said she didn't want to distract me while answering the questions. On the other hand, my camera was on, and she took notes and monitored my reaction to how I answered the questions. Most questions are related to the student certification process, like the grant interest rate, eligibility for that grant, simple loan calculation, and the current packaging stage.
One of the questions was tricky and asked, "How many spelling and grammar errors are in this document?
List the errors that you found." Without having a spell checker or other spell-checking webpage assist, I would keep reading the exercise to look for the mistake. One day later, I received a "Thank you for your interest" email. I emailed the director back what went wrong. I didn't receive any response. I wish she was more transparent and went over the wrong answers.

Question 1
Are you comfortable working the same review steps for different student names all day long?
Thank you for your interest in GCU. We are disappointed to hear about your difficult interview experience, but we encourage you to reapply as there are plenty of job openings at Grand Canyon.
