      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Grand Homes Inc. (Irving, TX) in Dec 2021

      Interview

Showed up for the interview 10 minutes early. The interviewer then took and made phone calls for 30 minutes while I just sat and listened to his phone calls. Not so much as a handshake when I walked in. Then once the interview finally began he spoke almost the entire time. Even when he asked a question to me, he just answered it himself. I felt as if I needed to interrupt him just to explain my work history. On top of all of this I drove over an hour to the interview location just to feel ignored and dismissed before the interview even began. Overall terrible experience.

      Question 1

How many homes do you feel comfortable managing at one time
      1 Answer

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Grand Homes Inc.

      Interview

I interviewed with project manager and shadowed with another builder for a few days. After that i was given then given the ok to interview with the division president for about 45 minutes. Once i made it past this point I then interviewed with the CEO. After accepting a position i then filled out a mountain of paper work. Personal information/personality tests etc. and started the next day.

      Interview

called me in for an interview from out of town only to tell me afterwards they were only interested in local builders with their own subs. Wish I had known that before I drove over 1,000 miles round trip.
