I took part in a discovery day. It was a 9-5 Session where we would be screened through multiple phases.
Phase 1) Introduction to recruitment - here they are just testing your general knowledge, interaction and confidence
Phase 2) Sales pitch - you will be expected to stand up and do a sales pitch on why you are a good suit for the role. - Here they are testing confidence, communication and transferable skills
Phase 3) Phone Samples - Here you will get a script and a call log of real candidates to call through to test your phone communication
Phase 4) Manager + Director 1:1 Interviews
