The interview process was slightly backwards in my opinion. I applied online and was emailed by a coordinator to schedule a call with a (random) colleague who was not the hiring manager, nor on the same team. During that first 30-min call I was asked a series of behavioral questions for the first 25 minutes that seemed to be geared towards seeing if I was a culture fit. Overall it was a positive interview, but at the end of it I was left with very little insight about Greenhouse or the role I was interviewing for (other than what I could glean from the line of questioning). I was then emailed by a new coordinator to schedule a brief 15 min, high-level call. During that call there was still minimal introduction to Greenhouse, or the role. She then was covering basic high level questions ie. timeline, and compensation. Ultimately Greenhouse couldn’t meet my comp. requirements which was completely understandable but is a conclusion that could have been reached prior to looping in 4 people and having a 30 minute behavioral fit call. I still know very little about the role, but gathered it wasn’t a fit for me.
