Interview
Phone interview, followed by email with references/salary requirements/potential start date, followed by a 24hr contest/assignment, followed by an in-person interview. I submitted to the art contest, but never heard back. So I guess that's it...

I only met with 3 employees overall, it didn't seem like a fit. I picked up on some red flags like: micromanaging, negative attitudes, and internal communication issues.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Groove Commerce (Baltimore, MD) in May 2016
Interview
I went through an initial phone screening, reviewing my background and work experience. Additionally, I was given the opportunity to ask any questions I had about Groove. It was very straightforward.
After, this initial interview, I was given a 24 hour assignment. This assignment consisted of brand research and concepting. Once submitted, I went for an in-person interview. This interview was more in-depth with multiple 'Groovers' in attendance. First, they asked me questions about my background, my portfolio, my skills, and particular design scenarios. Second, I presented my 24 hour assignment with some additional design visuals. Third, I was given the opportunity to ask everyone any additional questions I had about Groove.
Finally, this process ended with submitting references and available start date.
This interview process was in-depth. However, Groove kept me informed each step of the way. They gave me the opportunity to learn about the company as I went through the process, helping me truly understand who Groove is and what it is all about. Additionally, I did not just interview with HR. I was given the opportunity to interview with people I directly work with. This ensured that I was more comfortable starting at Groove. The time and effort they put into this interview showed me that they were committed to finding the right fit for their team.
