I applied online. I interviewed at Group PMX (New York, NY) in June 2015
Interview
Group PMX has no headquarters, so every potential employee interviews with senior management AND their prospective client before they can be hired & assigned to a project.
- InMail'ed the CEO before the company had a career page on LinkedIn and secured a phone interview followed by an in-person meeting.
- Interview with senior management is very casual and is basically a meet & greet. It typically involves an introduction to the company and its business model. At this level, you might be considered for a potential opening to be filled months down the line or an immediate need, so you might not receive an offer for a few months if not at all. I interviewed in June '15 and got hired in August.
- Interview with the client varies by client. I was asked about my relevant experience in AutoCAD and developing spreadsheets. Started a week after my interview.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Group PMX (New York, NY) in Aug 2015
Interview
I was first invited to an informal meeting over coffee with the CEO. I was unable to make it at the time. But, my referral being strong enough, I was directly invited to meet the client, due to time constraint. Following the client's (Director of Planning, Design & Construction at a Hospital) request in hiring me as an employee extension to his team, I was made an offer.
Normally, the first informal interview (at a coffee shop or restaurant) will be to get to know you, as well as to provide a well-rounded insight about the company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
No behavioral questions were asked. The internal interviews (ones with Group PMx only) mostly take place in a conversation format.
