      Interview

First round interview. The interview was extremely brief (probably only 20 minutes). No opportunity to ask questions at the end. The questions were not technical; they focused on relevant experience. The format was very conversational and relaxed.

      Interview

I had a thirty-minute, one-on-one interview with the recruiter. The recruiter asked behavior questions. He was very friendly and upbeat. The interview seemed similar to other interviews that I've had in related industry fields.

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Guidepoint

      Interview

I interviewed through my school as a first round and then was invited to a second round interview at their NYC office. First round was very casual, just asked me about why I chose my school and to walk me through my resume. It seemed like they were just looking to make sure I had communication/social skills. Took only 25 min. Second round interview was only an hour. I was sent a list of people I would be meeting with; there were four people (three vice presidents and 1 project manager) and one was listed first and the other three were on the second line so I had the impression that I was going to be given a case by one person and then it would be reviewed with the other three. I was wrong. I met with three people, only one of which was listed on the email (the other two were associates who had only been working there for ~6 months) plus the member of the HR team at the end to wrap things up and show me out. I met with the two associates together first and then one-on-one with the project manager. The HR person came in last to answer final questions and show me out. It all took only 50 min. They all seemed pretty unprepared for the interview and it looked like it was the first time they had seen my resume. They asked me why I had selected the specific team that I had applied to when at no point in the application process had they asked me what team I was interested in (clearly very disorganized; when I asked the HR rep about that she said that they determine which candidates they feel fit with which teams). They asked and answered questions in a circumvented and unclear way but no questions were difficult. Clearly didn't have much experience interviewing. Seemed kind of silly to pay for my travel (only up to $100) just for a one-hour behavioral interview with associates that could have been over skype/phone. I didn't perform well through no fault of theirs, however. I was expecting a case & more detailed questions and didn't prepare for basic "tell us about yourself" type questions where I would be leading the interview.
