I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Guy Carpenter in Oct 2021
Interview
The talent acquisition spend very little time with you and seem to know very little about the role. He seem to care more about telling me he is in the marsh side of the company and just doing this to help the other division. talked more about salary requirement then the actual job
The hiring manager actually told me he glanced at my resume and proceed to waste one hour. He asked question that clearly show he didn’t read my resume. I do not have certain experience and it wasn’t a requirement for the role but they mention it will be nice to have on job posting. Then he started asking sql questions. One of the question he omitted the clue to the answer and then felt smart saying it after I gave him 2 other options to solve it. Not sure with his intention but a huge waste of time. It has been 3 weeks and I didn’t get an answer. It was also poorly made questions like he was just sitting there playing around like he has a lot of time
He told me he have amateur technical skills and primarily an insurance background. He asked me do I use python django for frontend or backend….. I was like its a framework, I use postgres for backend and he tried to argue with me about django is frontend or backend.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Guy Carpenter (New York, NY) in Jan 2021
Interview
The interviewer was suppose to reach out and call me but never called. The recruiter reached out later during the day and mentioned there was a hiring freeze until February. It would have been nice if the interviewer called and told me they have a hiring freeze. They are obviously not that interested in hiring people.
