The person due to interview me forgot we had a meeting scheduled. I had to email the company to make sure there wasn't a mistake. They then made me wait several hours for a rescheduled interview, so my whole day was spent waiting to meet. Finally, during the interview, I was talked down to and made to feel like I was wasting their time because they did not plan ahead and carve out the time to meet with me in the first place.
Forgetting about an interview would cost an applicant a job - this is a standard that needs to apply to employers, too. I've read the reviews about the toxic workplace and culture, and I was willing to give this interviewer a try - but if toxicity blatantly spills through a single initial interview to this degree, that's one too many red flags.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The entirety of the interview was a lecture about how they were not expecting this interview, barely any questions were asked about myself.
The interview process was mellow and allowed me to see the culture at the company. I knew this company wanted an individual that had impeccable personable skills as well as an individuals that could meet sales goals. Everyone had such a light positive attitude but it is a dog eat dog environment.

Tell me what is your best characteristic of your personality.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at HD Buttercup (Washington, DC) in Mar 2013
Interview
Friendly interview meeting with the principal and senior staff in their offices overlooking the White House. Relaxed but professional. They called me later that day with an offer and I began training immediately. Quick process. It was mainly about making sure it was a good cultural fit because it is a small office. The meeting was very conversational.
