I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at HFF
Interview
Applied online and then was contacted by an associate in the office after about a week. Interviewed with 1-2 individuals at the firm every week (increased in seniority each week) for about a month and then traveled to the office to meet everyone in person and interview with Directors that I didn't speak with on the phone. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful throughout the process. I was an experienced candidate (2 1/2 years in a finance focused role) and the interview questions were mostly about fit - followed up with an excel test while I was visiting in person. The excel test wasn't terribly difficult and as long as you have intermediate financial modeling experience you will do fine. There were a few CRE valuation/performance related questions.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HFF (Denver, CO) in Oct 2017
Interview
They had me schedule an phone interview. With upper management with 3 people and they really just let me talk. It was pretty average more or less fit, but in the end I wasn’t offered the job in the end. There weren’t many technical questions.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HFF (Atlanta, GA) in Dec 2016
Interview
Initially applied online. I set up a phone interview a week after the first response from HFF. Following the phone interview, I had a screening with 3 Office/Industrial producers and their team of Analysts. I did not get the offer because HFF needed a seasoned analyst to fill a new vacancy.
