I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HSBC (New York, NY) in July 2010
Interview
The interview process was quite smooth, a former worker referred me to a position and set-up a phone interview. 5 days later I came to NY to interview face-to-face with the first interviewer (my soon to be future boss) and 2 more people. 4 days later I received the job offer. At HSBC it is unusual such a quick process. I was lucky to be interviewing with a more forward and efficient manager.
The hiring process took months. HR asked me to send the same documents many times. And e-mail after e-mail they asked me to send new documents as well. HR super disorganized, slow, inefficient.

Question 1
No hard question, just straight forward ones. Describe your career, why do you want to move to NY, where do you see yourself working in the next 5 years.
I applied online. I interviewed at HSBC (Bengaluru) in Sept 2024
Interview
Very slow and non transparent hiring process. Took 1 month to schedule interview and then was told that position will be closed in. 2 weeks. After conducting 2 rounds in a single days there was no communication for 2-3 weeks from HR. Even after multiple reachouts he told its on hold.
Both interviews went well and were relatively easy. I feel the process can be more transparent where feedbacks are provided to candidates and are not kept wondering.
It is a group interview with seven candidates, we have done a group assessment together. It is a group assessment for a discussion on the outlook of economies in Hong Kong.

Question 1
What is the economy level in Hong Kong in the recent years?
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HSBC (Bangalore Rural) in Aug 2022
Interview
It was good and time taking but fruitful to have myself employed here. The interview process went on for 4 rounds with senior levels and was closed within a month.
