      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HUB International (Metairie, LA) in Sept 2021

      Interview

After I sent in my application, my first interview was an informal phone interview with a recruiter. She went over my education and work experience with me and described the position in greater detail. She said that I would most likely have a zoom interview scheduled in the next coming days. My 1st zoom interview was a couple of days later with my team leader and a hiring manager. They asked me more specific questions about what I could bring to the team and how I handled conflict and stress. They also gave me more detail about what the day-to-day is like in the position. They were extremely transparent about possible pay and about how seriously they were considering me for the position. My third and final interview was a couple of weeks later over zoom with the two members of the team I would be working closest with (Account Manager and Benefits Consultant). It was a pretty brief interview, and they mainly asked me what my skills were and why I wanted the job. I got an offer later that day.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How well do you do under pressure? This position involves a large amount of communication over email that can be overwhelming for some people. How will you manage that?
      1 Answer

      Interview

Interviewing can obviously vary from region to region, but expect 2-3 total interviews with managers, analysts, and practice leaders. The entire process was timely and communication with the recruiter was consistent and respectful. Questions were aimed towards the role itself and expectations from both the company and the interviewer. Nothing too technical, however there were definitely some good questions involving previous work experience, process analysis, and problem solving issues specific to the industry. Overall, the interview process from start-to-hire felt respectable, efficient, and cordial.
