I applied in-person. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Hamel Builders (Elkridge, MD)
Interview
Slow process that became very quick towards the hire date. They will talk a great game and smother it with a fine sugar coating. This is my first salary possition and while it may have blinded me in the process, I am speaking out now. I received a call from HR, came in for an initial interview in the winter. I then received a call between 5 and 6 months later which resulted in another 1 on 1 interview with a project executive. I was made promises and was hopeful for the future. Game then emailed me my offer letter and I accepted the job under our mutual terms. It has been a roller coaster ever since.
Unfortunately, in the construction business, there are instances in which the onset of a new job will be delayed for reasons beyond the company's control. Such delays may affect the amount of time that lapses between an initial interview and a potential date of hire. If you are continuously experiencing difficulties on the job or are not receiving a benefit that you understand to have been offered, please be encouraged to reach out to your supervisor or human resources so that we may begin to work to resolve the issue(s) at hand.
