Interview process itself with the hiring managers was great, but the process took 2.5 months. It took so long that I had to look elsewhere and landed something else before I even got the final offer. Turns out they were interested in me all along, but never showed enough interest to keep me on the hook.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Hamilton Beach in Jan 2026
Interview
Initial interview was with HR recruiter; second with GM; third with DOS/KAM and Forecast Analysis; forth and final interview was a Store Walk Interview with GM, DOS/KAM and FA. The process was straight forward up until the third interview were the DOS/KAM and FA questioning was very surface and felt uninterested. I also felt agism played a role as the interviewer was surprised at my career background. Surprised getting asked for the final interview, I prepared and provide a presentation to share. After the forth interview, and chasing HR for update on next step decision for 2 weeks (with HR reposing kindly), I get a cold standard email of not moving forward. It looks like this organization just took advantage of my good will and earned free consultation work. Listen learned on my side but the way they handled the last part of the interview process was very unprofessional. Beware if they ask you for a store walk interview.

Interview
HR screening was odd. Said they had already looked through my resume so didn't need me to explain my background, but then continued to ask me numerous questions about specific software and platforms that I would obviously have no experience with if she understood my background. Also was asked MULTIPLE questions about why I was so interested in the company. I can understand one question, but I felt like they were looking for me to do an extensive deep dive on the company's background before I even got through the HR screening. Weird vibes altogether.
