Recruiter reached out and asked to schedule an interview using a scheduling tool. Scheduled the time the next day at 12:30pm . Moved my meetings to make the call...... Even logged in to the Teams meeting with the link.. waited 15 mins... No answer. Reached out with an immediate email thinking I messed the time for some reason. Couple of hours later an email from the "recruiter" received band said "I apologize for missing our meeting earlier as I was caught up in a previous meeting that had run longer than anticipated", please reschedule. So I did next day at 2. This gave me more time to research, thus made me more excited for the position I know I am qualified for. Even though this application was honestly a quick exploratory look into my options, since I love my current job but my commute is unbearable... Once again I excused myself from work meeting and waited the "recruiter" to call... The call never came in!! HR professional in me got annoyed and angry. The excited candidate who wanted to learn out the position got unusually upset. I wondered why? Was this guy too afraid to talk to me, is he that bad at his job ? Is this how this company runs their HR operations... Do I really want to be a part of a company that just ignores people... Then, I wished I can speak to him so maybe we can have a coaching moment, maybe he is overwhelmed with life and keep making mistakes... But let's face it, he probably don't really care.. I am just a number!! BA
