I applied online. I interviewed at Harris County Community Supervision & Corrections Department in Oct 2020
Interview
It was straight forward, typical therapist questions. Be prepared for scenario questions. Make sure you have working knowledge of motivational interviewing and CBT. Also, it is important to know the stages of change.
I interviewed at Harris County Community Supervision & Corrections Department
Interview
Quick took less than 30 mins. Asked me the normal questions. “How have you deescalated a situation previously” “how would you handle (this)” etc. kind of questions the only thing that was slighting aggravating was that it took them over 4 weeks to send updates even though they said they would get back to be with the next week.

Question 1
How do you work with others? How would you work out a problem if you were working with others with different opinions?
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Harris County Community Supervision & Corrections Department (Houston, TX) in Jan 2012
Interview
I know this has changed since I got hired, but it was a lengthy process. I applied 2-3 months prior to getting an interview and it took another few weeks to get a job offer. At the interview I had to fill out paperwork, complete a spelling test, typing test and reading comprehension test. The tests were a joke at the time. It was a simple word document that could easily be altered in your favor. The interview took about an hour as it was 2 different interviews, one with HR asking basic employment questions and if you advanced there was another panel of several people asking questions and writing answers. The whole interview took a majority of the day.
