I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at HashiCorp in Jan 2021
Interview
Relatively standard interview process. Starts with a recruiter, with both previous experience and personality/behavioral questions. Then on to design, coding, and further behavioral interviews.
My overall experience was positive, until the last part of the process. I was ghosted for over 4 weeks by my recruiter, finally being sent a form rejection email. This really soured my view of the entire process, because they tout their values constantly. I don't think ghosting a candidate for weeks is included in those values. This alone sent up several red flags.

Question 1
Get/Set with a commit log using Golang interfaces.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HashiCorp in June 2020
Interview
It took about 2 months to initially hear back on my application, however once the process started with the initial recruiter call, it progressed very quickly. The interviews felt very fair and balanced, and everyone wanted to ensure that the position would be a great fit in every respect (technically, culturally, etc). Everyone was extremely kind and respectful throughout the entire process, and I left with a great impression of the company despite not being selected.

Question 1
Specific and thorough questions regarding DNS, cryptography, deployment, reliability, resiliency in distributed systems. You really want to prepare ahead of time and understand these areas very well.
