I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at HealthLabs (Houston, TX) in Apr 2021
Interview
Very quick interview process. They had me take a very basic skills assessment. First interview with other marketing head and HR. The second interview was with the CEO, asked a couple of questions hung up and an offer was sent 15 minutes later.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HealthLabs in July 2021
Interview
The interview process is ridiculous. The assessment required that I type literal essays. I was shocked when multiple essay questions popped up, but I continued anyway.
Keep in mind that I was applying to be a *Customer Service Representative.* That level of demand for my free time in return for a job that only pays a few dollars above minimum wage is very disrespectful. To make matters worse, after over two weeks, they never contacted me with an update. If I got an update, I could make peace with the time-consuming assessment. However, they couldn't even bother to reach out to me again.
I do practice typing tests on my own time, and my typing speed is always between 40-50 wpm. I have a degree, and English is my first language. It does not make sense that they couldn't contact me to move forward or tell me how I didn't score high enough for consideration. All I can think is that they somehow use candidate responses to earn more money for themselves. I know some companies use pre-work labor for their benefit.
On the bright side, I found a higher paying position with more benefits and perks. That job had a normal interview process and even paid me for my time filling out new hire paperwork. THAT is how you treat valuable employees and win their loyalty. HealthLabs could learn from them.
