I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Hello Innovation (Detroit, MI) in Feb 2013

Interview

Phone screen with in house Engineer, short programming test in Visual Studio Environment (mine project was done in 45mins), in person interview with CTO, and tour of the entire office space. Pretty impressive.
