The initial interview was the best one I have had so far. The interviewer asked the question noone ever asked before. I cannot recall exactly what they were, but I felt they really want to know who and what I am, of course more professionally than personally. Questions were not the typical questions you can find online or books but coined to know more about the interviewee.

Process started out smoothly. Shortly after applying, I received a call from HR for a short phone screening. Questions were straightforward and conversation flowed easily. Moving onto the next step with the panel/hiring manager came quickly thereafter. And then downhill it went. Hiring manager asked for several references. She called two out of the three. After a week and a half of her not calling Reference #3, I sent a follow-up email - no response. Sent a follow-up to HR a few days later - no response. Fast forward about a month later. I get a generic automated email telling me the position was filled. An absolute waste of time for myself and the references I provided.
