Interview
Phone screening with recruiter. Interview with hiring manager and then final interview with quality department head. Overall a pretty average experience, they went through my resume with me and asked “how do you handle xyz” type questions.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Heron Therapeutics (San Diego, CA) in Dec 2018
Interview
Applied through website and was called a month later. Honestly forgot I applied. Process was really disorganized and HR so uncoordinated that I had to make most of the arrangements myself. Took them six months to reimburse me for my expenses. Really bad impression. They either had an internal candidate or they were just ghosting the position. Felt personally/professionally insulted and company just reacted with a “so what do we care” email. I don’t know how anyone works for them. The interviews, once they got their stuff together, were easy—however—the interviewers were really arrogant. One actually asked, “…and I am talking to you because…”, and another ghosted me for a half an hour because of what I was told, “…something way beyond my comprehension…”. Wow. Been a BCPS pharmacist over 17 years and never heard that. Final insult was receiving rejection email while I was still in their offices waiting for my Uber to the airport. How UNclassy can you get?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Heron Therapeutics (Tampa, FL) in Jan 2020
Interview
Very collegial. Looked for experienced reps. First interview was with hiring DBM and corp accts rep. Great conversation. Next was conversation with another DBM. Final was a panel interview with RBM, DBMs, HR. Great experience. Non-confrontational. Process was hard because of level of preparation. But since I was very prepared, interviews were a great experience.
